La facturación electrónica en México es la representación digital de un tipo de 
                    Comprobante Fiscal Digital a través de Internet ( CFDi ), que está apegada a los 
                    estándares definidos por el SAT en el Anexo 20 de la Resolución de Miscelánea 
                    Fiscal, y la cual puede ser generada, transmitida y resguardada utilizando 
                    medios electrónicos.
Electronic Invoicing
Electronic invoicing in Mexico is the digital representation of a type of Digital Tax Receipt, that meets the standards defined by the SAT in Annex 20 of the Miscellaneous Tax Resolution, and which can be generated, transmitted and protected using electronic means.

Electronic invoicing is a form of invoice, where a printed invoice is not used as support, to prove its authenticity, it differs from the printed invoice by way of the information management and delivery through a communications system that can guarantee the authenticity together and integrity of the electronic document.
What is a Digital Tax Receipt?
Digital Tax Receipt, is that one that is generated by a taxpayer through an application software, which is then sent to an Authorized Provider before the Tax Authority in order to be validated, and will be assigned its UUID, and is incorporated the Digital Certificate of Signature by the Tax Authority that was given to us for that purpose

The Authorized Provider shall comply with the technical specifications in the headings II.A "Standard of Digital Tax Receipt" and II.B "Generating of Digital Certificate of Signature for Digital Tax Receipts" in Appendix 20.
